Erling Haaland Teases Rangers Star Thelo Aasgaard During Norway Training

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland couldn’t resist poking fun at Rangers’ Thelo Aasgaard during Norway training, jokingly asking if his teammate had been drinking.

Both players are currently on international duty ahead of Norway’s World Cup qualifying double-header against Israel and New Zealand.

As the squad prepared for their clash with Israel, a light-hearted moment was caught on camera showing Haaland teasing Aasgaard.

It’s unclear exactly what prompted the exchange, but in the clip, the City striker can be heard saying:

“Thelo, are you f***ing alright? Are you alright? Have you been drinking? What did you do last night?”

Aasgaard took the joke in good spirits, laughing off Haaland’s playful banter.

Despite the exchange, the Rangers midfielder has previously spoken highly of Haaland and his impact on the national team setup.

“First of all, he’s a brilliant character off the pitch,” Aasgaard said. “He’s a leader — not necessarily a senior in age, but a huge personality both on and off the pitch.

He gave me the penalty for my hat-trick, which says a lot about his character.”

Aasgaard added that training alongside Haaland and Norway’s other stars has been a valuable learning experience.

“Every time I go away, I learn so much — not just from him but from all the players. We’ve got real quality in this team, and I love being part of it,” he said.

“Right now, I just need to focus on this next block of games for my club and take everything I’ve learned into the next performance. I’m desperate to do well here.”
