Sunderland midfielder Chris Rigg says he is “buzzing” to be part of Régis Le Bris’ team after helping the Black Cats secure a 2–0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Stadium of Light.

Goals from Nordi Mukiele and a late Ladislav Krejčí own goal sealed another Premier League triumph for Sunderland, lifting them to seventh place in the table. Speaking to The Echo after the match, the 18-year-old expressed his pride in the team’s togetherness and spirit.

“I’m buzzing, to be fair,” Rigg said. “It’s so good to be in a team where you know everyone’s got your back. If someone loses the ball, I’ll work for them, and if I lose it, they’ll work for me. I’m just buzzing to be part of this team and so proud of everyone.”
