DEAL IMMINENT: Crystal Palace increasingly hopeful of landing Brennan Johnson, player will cost £30-40 million

Crystal Palace are said to be weighing up a move for Tottenham Hotspur winger Brennan Johnson ahead of the coming transfer windows.

A report from TEAMtalk claims the Eagles are growing increasingly confident of landing the 24-year-old, with Spurs expected to demand a fee in the region of £30–40 million.

Tottenham originally paid £47.5 million to sign Johnson from Nottingham Forest, but his spell in north London has been marked by inconsistency.

The Welsh international has struggled to justify that price tag, and Spurs may now view a sale as the sensible option.
