Wolves, Burnley, and Blackburn Rovers are among several clubs weighing up a move for former Leyton Orient starlet Devine Samuel, sources have told Football Insider.

Samuel, 18, had an outstanding campaign last season, scoring 20 goals and registering six assists before heading out on loan to non-league side Harrow Borough, where he impressed further with 10 goals in just seven appearances.

Now a free agent after failing to agree terms on a new deal with Leyton Orient, the prolific forward has attracted widespread interest thanks to his sharp eye for goal at youth level.

Wolves Continue Youth-Focused Recruitment

Following the £62.5 million sale of Matheus Cunha to Manchester United [Sky Sports], Wolves have turned their attention to recruiting young talent. The club has already brought in Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo for £19 million [BBC Sport], and interest in Samuel aligns with their continued push to build a youthful core under new boss Vitor Pereira.

Though Samuel has yet to make his senior debut in professional football, his outstanding academy numbers have piqued interest. A loan spell to gain senior experience may be the most realistic short-term route should he join the Molineux outfit, where Jorgen Strand Larsen currently leads the line.

Burnley and Blackburn Could Offer Faster First-Team Path

Despite Wolves’ Premier League appeal, both Burnley and Blackburn Rovers may offer Samuel a clearer path to senior football.

Burnley, freshly promoted to the top tier, have limited depth up front beyond Zian Flemming, offering a potential opening for Samuel to stake his claim under Scott Parker.

Meanwhile, Blackburn may lack Premier League status but could provide immediate game time. Valerien Ismael’s side narrowly missed out on a playoff spot last season and are actively looking to strengthen their squad in pursuit of a return to the top flight after 13 years away.
