Rangers have reportedly made a move to sign a Championship standout familiar to manager Danny Rohl.

Rangers secured arguably their most eye-catching signing of the January transfer window this week, announcing the arrival of winger Andreas Skov Olsen on loan, with an option to buy should he impress during his stint at Ibrox.

Speaking for the first time since completing the deal, Skov Olsen told the club website:

Rohl also expressed his enthusiasm for the signing:

But Rangers aren’t stopping with Skov Olsen. Reports suggest the club has also approached Sheffield Wednesday’s Max Lowe, with Sunderland’s Dan Neil also linked, before the January window closes.

The Star reports that Rangers have initiated talks with Lowe, though the 28-year-old left-back is expected to remain at Hillsborough this month.

However, a pre-contract agreement could be on the cards, allowing Rangers to secure a player Rohl already trusts once his contract expires at the season’s end.

While Lowe may not be a headline-grabbing signing, his experience and familiarity with Rohl make him a valuable addition, particularly as Rangers push to close the six-point gap on Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts. His arrival could strengthen Rangers’ title challenge during this crucial stretch of the season.
