Sky Sports: Rangers Submit Bid to Sign Striker, He’s Desperate to Join

Rangers manager Danny Rohl is expected to push for late transfer business before the window closes, with German forward Ryan Naderi emerging as a key target.

However, any move for the 22-year-old is proving difficult, with Hansa Rostock reportedly standing firm and turning down multiple approaches from Ibrox.

Rangers have already been active this month, bringing in Tuur Rommens, Tochi Chukwuani and Andreas Skov Olsen as they strengthen their squad for a sustained title challenge.

Despite those additions, the club are keen to add further firepower, and Naderi remains high on their list as time ticks down.

According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Rostock continue to reject Rangers’ bids with just a few days remaining in the transfer window.

Rangers have improved their offer to around €3.6 million (£3.1m), including achievable add-ons and a sell-on clause, but the German club are still unwilling to sanction a deal.

Naderi is understood to be open to a move to Glasgow and would even consider signing for Rangers while staying at Rostock on loan until the end of the season to aid their promotion push. With the deadline approaching, the striker is said to be eager for clarity on his future.

Should negotiations fail, Rangers are ready to explore alternatives, with Leeds United forward Joel Piroe identified as a potential fallback option if the Naderi deal cannot be completed in time.

Although he only arrived at Rostock at the start of last season, Naderi has enjoyed a standout campaign. After missing the opening weeks through injury, he has scored eight goals in 13 starts in Germany’s third tier, underlining why Rangers are keen to secure his signature.

Rangers’ need for goals has been evident this season. Captain James Tavernier currently leads their Premiership scoring charts, while several attackers have struggled for consistency.

With Hearts only four points clear at the top and 15 league games remaining, Rohl’s side remain firmly in the title hunt — but added attacking quality could prove decisive.
