Danny Röhl Reacts to Rangers’ 0-0 Draw with Hibernian: “We Created Chances but Must Be More Clinical”

Rangers manager Danny Röhl spoke to the media after his side were held to a 0-0 draw against Hibernian at Easter Road, a result that leaves the Glasgow club six points behind league leaders Hearts.

The Govan outfit struggled to break down a resolute Hibs defence despite dominating large periods of the match. Rangers created several opportunities, with Morgan Gibbs-White and other attackers coming close, but were ultimately unable to convert their chances into goals.

Speaking to reporters, Röhl admitted his frustration but remained encouraged by his team’s overall performance.

“We created opportunities, controlled much of the game, and worked hard for each other,” Röhl said. “Of course, it’s disappointing not to take three points, but sometimes these things happen in football. We must be more clinical in front of goal and take our chances when they come.”

Röhl also reflected on the impact of the draw on Rangers’ title challenge.

“The gap to the top is six points now, but there’s still a long way to go,” he added. “We’ve shown over the course of the season that we can compete at the highest level. The players know what is at stake, and we will continue to work hard to close that gap.”

The manager was also asked about individual performances, particularly regarding defensive efforts and young talents in the squad.

“Defensively, we were solid in many areas, and the young players showed great commitment,” Röhl said. “It’s important we stick together as a team, support one another, and keep improving every week. Football is about learning from moments like this and moving forward.”

Röhl concluded by highlighting the importance of the upcoming fixtures as Rangers aim to regain momentum in the Scottish Premiership.

“We have to keep our focus on the next game, prepare well, and make sure we are sharper in the final third,” he said. “We know Hearts are strong, but it’s in our hands to continue challenging for the title. There’s no time to dwell on draws—we need to push forward and take the next opportunities.”

The 0-0 stalemate means Rangers remain in close contention but will need to convert chances into goals in their remaining fixtures if they are to close the gap on Hearts and mount a serious title challenge.
