Röhl sends clear message to title rivals

Rangers now face six fixtures before the league split, beginning with a trip to face bottom-placed on Sunday. Röhl, who is already targeting reinforcements ahead of the summer window, stressed that consistency will determine who tops the table when the split arrives.
He believes the groundwork for the decisive final five matches must be laid in the upcoming run. Strong results now, he argued, will provide a platform for a final push when the top sides face each other directly. While Rangers are only two points off the summit, Röhl reminded his players they are still chasing rather than leading — and that small margins could quickly widen to five or even eight points if standards slip.
Since taking charge in October following Russell Martin’s departure, Röhl has overseen an impressive run of just one defeat in 19 league games. He maintains full faith in his squad’s quality and mentality, but warned that every match demands maximum focus.
Football, he noted, is never straightforward — even games that appear routine can turn difficult. He pointed to recent results elsewhere as proof that underestimating opponents can prove costly. For Rangers, especially in fixtures where victory is expected, intensity and seriousness will be vital.
Injury update ahead of Livingston clash
Röhl confirmed that defender Derek Cornelius and midfielder Connor Barron are progressing well in their recoveries and could return next month. However, fresh injury concerns mean changes are likely this weekend.
The manager revealed that one player faces a short-term absence of two to three weeks, while another remains doubtful for Sunday’s trip. As a result, two or three alterations to the starting line-up may be necessary.
Despite the challenges, Röhl remains confident his team’s mindset is exactly where it needs to be as the title race enters a defining phase.
