During Chelsea’s UEFA Conference League clash against FC Astana, Axel Disasi was once again in the spotlight, with fresh transfer speculation surrounding his future.
Reports had suggested that Disasi had prioritised a move to AC Milan, with some claims pointing to Massimiliano Allegri as the reason the deal to San Siro collapsed.
However, respected journalist Carlo Pellegatti has firmly dismissed those suggestions.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Pellegatti clarified: “Let’s make this absolutely clear.
I’ve seen reports saying Disasi isn’t coming because Allegri doesn’t rate him — that’s completely false. If Disasi had joined, he would have been an ideal fit for Allegri.”
While that move failed to materialise, the January transfer window still proved pivotal for several players looking to revive or reshape their careers.
James Ward-Prowse’s switch to West Ham from Southampton in 2023 turned out to be a major disappointment.
