Despite growing transfer interest, Dundee’s Luke Graham remains fully focused on one thing—keeping his club safe.
The 22-year-old has been one of Dundee’s brightest performers this season, and his displays haven’t gone unnoticed. After his commanding showing against the Czechs, he featured again in a tougher outing as Scotland’s youngsters fell to a 3-0 defeat in Portugal.
Dundee manager Steven Pressley recently admitted he expects increasing attention from other clubs, with reports suggesting Rangers have already been monitoring the promising defender.
Still, Graham insists speculation won’t distract him at this crucial stage of the season.
“I try to block all that out,” he said. “During the season, my focus is entirely on Dundee. I don’t want to get caught up in anything else—I just want to keep improving and help the team.”
He also praised the trust shown in him by his manager, adding that he’s determined to repay that faith with consistent performances.
“It’s been a great season for me personally. The manager has shown belief in me, and I just want to keep performing at my best for the team.”
Attention now turns to a massive clash with Celtic this weekend, with Graham hoping to replicate Dundee’s earlier 2-0 victory.
“That’s the target—to match that performance and try to do it again,” he said.
On the international stage, Scotland Under-21s still have work to do in their Euro 2027 qualifying campaign. They must win their remaining matches against Azerbaijan and Bulgaria to keep their play-off hopes alive.
Reflecting on the recent defeat to Portugal, Graham admitted it was a tough lesson but a valuable one.
“It was frustrating, but they’re a top side and deserved the win. I’m learning a lot at this level, especially facing different styles of play.”
With two decisive games ahead, Graham knows what’s required: “They’ll both be tough, and realistically, we’ll need to win both.”
