DONE DEAL; Medical details emerged as Everton agree millions in add ons for new signing
Tyler Dibling Set to Join Everton After Deal Agreed with Southampton
Tyler Dibling is finally on the verge of completing a move to Everton this summer, with the club reaching an agreement with Southampton just a week before the transfer window closes.
The deal had appeared to fall through last week after multiple bids from Everton were rejected by the Saints.
The situation was further complicated when David Moyes’ side secured Jack Grealish on a season-long loan. However, Everton have now revived the transfer and are pushing to finalise it swiftly.
Fresh off a 2-0 win over Brighton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday, the Toffees are looking to build momentum in the transfer market ahead of the deadline next Monday.
Dibling Medical Scheduled for Monday
Dibling is expected to arrive on Merseyside to undergo his medical on Monday. According to Fabrizio Romano, the medical will take place within the next 24 hours following the agreement between Everton and Southampton.
There had been speculation that Dibling would be unveiled to fans ahead of the Brighton match, but those plans did not come to fruition.
If all paperwork is completed in time, the 18-year-old winger could make his Everton debut in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup clash against Mansfield. A Premier League debut may then follow in Saturday’s away fixture against Wolves.
Deal Worth Up to £40 Million
Everton have agreed to pay Southampton an initial £35 million for Dibling, with a further £5 million in performance-related add-ons, potentially taking the total fee to £40 million.
Dibling was one of the few bright spots in Southampton’s disappointing Premier League campaign and is seen as a key attacking reinforcement for Moyes, especially after a lacklustre opening-day loss to Leeds United.
Since then, Everton have responded positively, and Dibling’s arrival could further boost their attacking options.
