Sharing an update via X, Romano stated: “Despite reports on Man City and more clubs, Marc Guehi situation has not changed: Liverpool is his favorite destination.

Guehi wants LFC, talks still ongoing for deal to happen before end of the window. If not possible with Palace, Liverpool will be on it for 2026.”

While Guehi’s potential departure is still up in the air, Palace are actively pursuing reinforcements. One such target is former loanee Conor Gallagher, with reports suggesting the club may attempt a late move to bring the midfielder back to Selhurst Park from Atletico Madrid.

Another surprise name on the radar is West Ham’s Lucas Paquetá. Although a transfer between London rivals may seem unlikely, football has seen stranger deals pulled off in the past.

Romano also revealed that Crystal Palace are in advanced talks to sign Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino in a deal worth around £43 million, a figure that would break the club’s transfer record.

While negotiations are still ongoing and the deal isn’t finalized yet, Pino appears to be the club’s primary target to replace the departed Eze.

Described as “unique” by Antonio Mango, the 21-year-old has scored 22 goals and provided 23 assists in 173 appearances for Villarreal.

He has already featured in their first two La Liga games this season against Real Oviedo and Girona.

After the disappointment of losing Eze, Palace are pushing hard to bring in top-tier talent — and Pino’s arrival would be a statement signing sure to generate buzz across the Premier League.
