Former Wolves goalkeeper Matt Murray has even tipped Gomes to become “one of the best,” underlining how highly he’s regarded at Molineux.

Wolves officially launched their 2025/26 home kit on Thursday, and it quickly won over fans with its bold, retro-inspired design. Paying tribute to the club’s iconic kits of the 1970s, the shirt was made available in stores on Friday, June 27.
To build excitement around the launch, Gomes was asked to share his thoughts on the design. The midfielder was particularly impressed by the V-shaped collar, even referencing football legend Pele as he admired the style.
“I really like this, you know,” Gomes said, pointing to the collar. “This is beautiful, and if you want to style it like Pele, this is perfect for me.”
With Gomes playing a pivotal role, Wolves will be hoping the new kit accompanies a successful 2025/26 campaign.
Pre-season plans and squad updates
The squad is expected to return for pre-season training in July, with new signing Fer Lopez eager to make his mark.
Wolves have confirmed four pre-season friendlies so far:
