West Ham Eye Evann Guessand as Kudus Uncertainty Grows

West Ham United are reportedly maintaining interest in OGC Nice striker Evann Guessand, as doubts continue to surround the future of Mohammed Kudus.

According to the Daily Mail, new Hammers boss Graham Potter is keen to bolster his attacking options, with Guessand a prime target after previously being considered during the January window. The 23-year-old Ivorian enjoyed a standout campaign in Ligue 1 last season, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists in 33 appearances.

A natural No. 9, Guessand also offers versatility out wide—an attractive option for West Ham, who are eager to add attacking firepower after a disappointing 2024/25 campaign. Jarrod Bowen led the team in scoring with 13 goals, while Michail Antonio and Niclas Füllkrug both struggled with injuries and may be offloaded this summer.

The Hammers are reportedly preparing a move for Guessand, valued at around £20–25 million, but are expected to raise funds through player sales first. Mohammed Kudus could be one of the major departures, with Tottenham Hotspur rumoured to be in talks over a possible £60 million deal. Kudus, who arrived with high expectations, failed to find his best form under Potter.
