Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison is reportedly set to leave the club this summer, with new manager Thomas Frank approving his departure.

The 28-year-old Brazilian has struggled to make a lasting impact since joining Spurs from Everton in 2022 for £50 million. Across three seasons, he has netted only 16 Premier League goals and 20 in total from 90 appearances — a tally affected by recurring injuries and inconsistent form.

According to The Sun, Spurs are open to letting Richarlison go and could accept offers as low as £20 million. While a loan move hasn’t been ruled out, the North London club would prefer a permanent transfer. Richarlison still has two years remaining on the five-year deal he signed upon his arrival from Everton.

Galatasaray have emerged as the frontrunners for his signature, with the Turkish giants reportedly “expected” to land the forward. Okan Buruk’s side, who dominated the Turkish Super Lig last season, are in the market for a new striker after Victor Osimhen’s successful loan spell from Napoli. Osimhen scored 37 goals in 41 games for Gala but is now attracting interest from top clubs including Manchester United, Juventus, and Chelsea.

Richarlison’s form at Spurs dipped notably last season, where he scored just five goals. Despite this, he played a role in helping the club lift the UEFA Europa League title.

The forward has also been open about his off-field struggles. In a candid interview with ESPN Brasil in 2024, Richarlison revealed he battled depression following Brazil’s 2022 World Cup campaign. He admitted there was a point where he considered walking away from football entirely.

“Before training, I just wanted to go home. I didn’t know what was going through my head,” he said. “I even told my father I wanted to give up. I’d just played in a World Cup, I was at my peak. But everything started to fall apart mentally.”

He added that therapy played a crucial role in helping him recover: “I won’t say I thought about ending my life, but I was deeply depressed. I think the therapist, like it or not, saved me.”

Now, with a fresh start likely on the horizon, Richarlison could look to rediscover his form in Turkey as Tottenham prepare to part ways with their once high-profile signing.
