Leeds United on Verge of Fourth Summer Signing as Goalkeeper Links Persist

Despite silence from official club sources, anticipation is building that Leeds United will confirm their fourth signing of the summer by the end of the week. While the club has been heavily linked with several goalkeepers, another move could already be in the works.

Daniel Farke’s side has already made three additions: Jaka Bijol joined for £18 million, Sebastiaan Bornauw arrived in a £6 million deal, and Lukas Nmecha signed on a free transfer. All three are 6ft 1 or taller, underlining Leeds’ clear strategy to build a more physically imposing squad ahead of their return to the Premier League.

In terms of goalkeepers, the Whites have been linked with Lucas Perri, Yahia Fofana, and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic. The latter, a 6ft 8 Serbian international with over 140 appearances for Torino, would fit perfectly into the club’s recruitment profile.

However, reports suggest that Leeds may have already wrapped up a deal for a different target — Lille left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson. The Swedish international has openly admitted he expects to leave Ligue 1 this summer, saying:
“I’m very likely to leave. It will be a very interesting summer.”

Club insider Graham Smyth has also confirmed Gudmundsson is a genuine target, alongside midfielders Noah Sadiki, Habib Diarra, and Anton Stach. Leeds have reportedly cooled interest in Diarra due to his price tag and are re-evaluating a potential bid for Sadiki.

While talks continue around Stach, indications suggest the Gudmundsson deal is already agreed and simply awaiting official confirmation.
