Wolverhampton Wanderers are pressing ahead with their summer transfer business as they look to strengthen their attacking options, according to reports.
The Old Gold kicked off their window by signing Fer Lopez, followed by the permanent acquisition of Jorgen Strand Larsen after a successful loan spell at Molineux. The Norwegian forward impressed with 14 goals and five assists during his first Premier League campaign and is now focused on building upon that under new boss Vitor Pereira.
Reflecting on his debut season, Strand Larsen said:
“It’s been a good first season in the Premier League. I’m proud of what I’ve done. I’ve been able to take the steps quicker than I had in previous moves. Normally it takes more time to settle and start scoring, but I’m happy with how things turned out — especially after coming back from injuries and a dip in form.”
While Wolves continue to assess areas across the squad, attention has turned once again to defensive reinforcements. Udinese centre-back Thomas Kristensen is back on their radar after Wolves saw a £12 million bid turned down in January. Brighton’s Igor Julio is another name being considered, although it remains uncertain whether the Seagulls would sell to a domestic rival.
Despite Strand Larsen’s permanent stay, Wolves are still in the market for an additional centre-forward to boost their attacking ranks.
Wolves Make Move for El Bilal Toure
According to Africa Foot, Wolves have now made an approach for Atalanta striker El Bilal Toure. The 23-year-old Mali international is also attracting interest from clubs across Europe, including Marseille, Stade Rennais, Paris FC, Como, Villarreal, Galatasaray, and West Ham United.
Toure spent last season on loan at Stuttgart, where injuries limited his impact. He finished the campaign with three goals and one assist in 17 appearances—identical to his tally in his debut season with Atalanta in 2023/24. Despite his setbacks, he remains a highly rated talent, previously described by journalist Graeme Bailey as a “major talent.”
