Everton and Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing 21-year-old Spanish wide player Juanlu Sanchez from Sevilla during the current summer transfer window.
According to Graeme Bailey of TBR Football, Everton are actively pursuing Sanchez as they look to strengthen their defensive options, particularly at right-back.
The young Sevilla talent has caught the attention of the Merseyside club as a potential solution.
However, Everton aren’t the only club showing interest. Crystal Palace are also in the race to sign the highly rated Spaniard, with Sevilla setting a price tag of around €20 million for his services.
Juanlu Sanchez: A Rising Talent in La Liga
Sanchez has quickly become one of the standout young players in La Liga. Hailing from Montequinto, he developed through various Spanish academies before breaking into Sevilla’s senior squad. He made his first-team debut during the 2021/22 season but truly made his mark in the 2023/24 campaign.
In addition to a breakthrough season at Sevilla, Sanchez was part of Spain’s squad that clinched the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
