Beto Praises Jack Grealish’s Impact at Everton and Aims to Adapt His Game

Everton striker Beto has opened up about the influence Jack Grealish has had since joining the club on loan from Manchester City, revealing that he plans to adjust his playing style to make the most of the new creative spark.

The pair linked up during Everton’s 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Saturday, with Beto scoring the opening goal from close range after Grealish set him up with a well-placed header across the box.

It marked Beto’s second goal in a week, following his strike off the bench in the 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Mansfield Town.

Despite scoring eight times in 21 Premier League appearances under David Moyes, Beto has often found himself isolated up front.

However, with the summer arrivals of Grealish, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tyler Dibling, and Carlos Alcaraz, Everton now boasts a more dynamic and creative midfield—something Beto believes will significantly benefit his game.

“My favourite goals are tap-ins and similar close-range finishes,” Beto said after the match. “They’re harder to get than people think, but this season, I know I have to stay alert and believe the ball will come—and with players like Jack, it will come.

“I actually told Jack before the match, ‘Give me one today.’ Five minutes in, he delivered. It was perfect.”

Reflecting on the win, he added: “It was a really tough game in a difficult stadium. We drew here last season and lost the season before, so getting three points this time feels great.”

Grealish has wasted no time making an impact since arriving at Goodison Park. In just two Premier League starts, the England international has already registered four assists—two against Brighton & Hove Albion and another two against Wolves—highlighting the creative boost he’s brought to the team.
