Jack Grealish has been in electric form since making a surprise loan move from Manchester City to Everton, and his performances are turning heads across the Premier League.

Everton edged out Wolves 3-2 on Saturday, 30 August, with Grealish providing two crucial assists—one each for Beto and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

His contribution helped set a new club record, as he became the first Everton player to register two assists in back-to-back Premier League matches.

Erling Haaland even jokingly dubbed him “Jack De Bruyne” after his stellar showing.

Under David Moyes, Everton have enjoyed a flying start to the season. The win at Molineux marked their third consecutive victory in all competitions, and Grealish has been central to their resurgence.

Statistically, the 29-year-old is in elite company. Data from FBref shows he ranks in the top 1% of positional peers across Europe’s top five leagues, the Champions League, and the Europa League for progressive carries, averaging 7.02 per 90 minutes.

He consistently drives Everton up the pitch, often drawing fouls or setting up scoring opportunities in the process.

Grealish’s numbers continue to impress. He completes over five shot-creating actions per 90 minutes and also ranks in the top 1% for carries into the penalty area.

His ability to draw fouls—thanks to quick footwork and clever movement—is well known. He averages just over three fouls drawn per match, but against Wolves, he was fouled seven times—a tally only bettered this season by Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo.
