West Ham United are reportedly considering Nuno Espirito Santo as a possible successor to Graham Potter, should they decide to move on from the former Chelsea boss.
According to journalist Alan Nixon, the 51-year-old Portuguese manager has emerged as a candidate of interest for the Hammers amid a poor start to the 2025/26 Premier League season. West Ham have picked up just three points from their first four matches, leaving them languishing in the relegation zone.
As a result, the club is said to be weighing its options, and Potter’s position is under increasing scrutiny. Nuno, recently available after departing Nottingham Forest, has entered the frame as a possible replacement. However, discussions remain in the early stages.
Nuno Espirito Santo is well-known in English football, having guided Wolverhampton Wanderers from the Championship to a strong presence in the Premier League.
He briefly managed Tottenham Hotspur in 2021 before a short-lived tenure that ended within months. He then moved to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia but was dismissed after a year.
A return to England came in December 2023 when he took over at Nottingham Forest. Under his leadership, Forest not only avoided relegation but also secured a surprise top-half finish, earning European qualification. However, tensions with club figures Evangelos Marinakis and Edu ultimately led to his exit.
