Romano: Glasner Staying Focused on Palace—for Now
As speculation grows over Manchester United’s managerial future, names like Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola and former England boss Gareth Southgate have surfaced alongside Glasner on a reported three-man shortlist.
However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Glasner remains committed to Crystal Palace for the time being. In his latest newsletter for GiveMeSport, Romano wrote:
“Glasner is fully focused on Palace, and the club is backing him with what he needs. That said, if a top club comes knocking in the near future, that could change.”
When asked whether Palace are concerned about Glasner’s contract situation, Romano reassured fans there’s currently no indication he is on the verge of leaving.
He also added that, at this stage, there’s “no movement” regarding Amorim’s position at United, suggesting an immediate change is unlikely.
Palace Pushing for New Glasner Contract
Glasner is now in the final 12 months of his current deal, which runs until July 2026, and Palace are reportedly working behind the scenes to secure a contract extension before the January transfer window.
While there is optimism, the situation remains a concern given Glasner’s growing reputation.
Since joining from Eintracht Frankfurt, Glasner has completely transformed Crystal Palace—from relegation battlers to FA Cup winners and European contenders. Under his leadership, the club is not only achieving results but also developing a clear identity on the pitch.
