“Bowen Makes Emotional Reveal About Nuno’s First Days – and Delivers Brutal Truth on Forest”

Former Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo took charge of West Ham United for the first time this week, and according to Jarrod Bowen, his arrival has already brought a “real buzz” back to the club.

Nuno was appointed head coach on Saturday, just hours after Graham Potter was dismissed following West Ham’s disastrous start to the season — with four defeats in five matches leaving them in the Premier League’s relegation zone.

Although they still sit 19th, the team showed renewed spirit in Monday’s 1-1 draw away at Everton. Bowen scored the equaliser with a deflected effort and credited Nuno’s early influence for the team’s improved fight and focus.

“There’s a real buzz around the place,” said Bowen, who is now West Ham’s captain. “In just two days under Nuno, I’ve been really impressed by how he carries himself.

He knows exactly what he wants from the team, and we all understand his expectations. The whole squad has bought into his approach, and our performance was a reflection of that.”

Bowen is confident that more training time with Nuno — who has previously managed Wolves, Tottenham, and Nottingham Forest — will further improve their readiness for this Saturday’s tough fixture against Arsenal.

“We’re obviously disappointed not to get all three points, but a draw is still something to build on,” Bowen added. “We’ve had some success at Arsenal in recent seasons, and while it won’t be easy — they’re title contenders — we’ve got a few more days to prepare with the new gaffer.”
