Norwich City hit with big injury blow as West Brom look to capitalise on rotten Carrow Road home form

West Brom Aim to Exploit Norwich’s Struggles at Home

West Bromwich Albion will be looking to take full advantage of Norwich City’s poor home form when they travel to Carrow Road on Wednesday evening.

Albion head into the match with confidence, having won two of their three away fixtures so far this season. They’re hoping to snap a winless streak, and the current form guide suggests they might have a good chance to do just that.

Norwich, under new boss Liam Manning, have yet to register a home win this season. All four of their victories have come away from home, with Carrow Road proving a tough place to perform for the Canaries.

Since his arrival from Bristol City over the summer, Manning has seen his team lose all four of their home matches in all competitions.

Extending the timeline further back, Norwich have managed just five home wins in the calendar year — one of which came against West Brom in March. Manning is determined to turn things around and is well aware of the challenge Ryan Mason’s side will pose.

“We have to earn credit. Right now, we haven’t built up enough credit with our fans,” said Manning. “We need to give them something to get behind. There are a lot of elements to that.”

“They’re a tough side to break down. I’ve watched plenty of their games, and the margins are very fine. We need to step up and take the game to them. We’ll have a clear idea of their setup, but once the game starts, it’s up to us.”

Norwich will be boosted by the return of experienced midfielder Kenny McLean, though they will still be without Gabriel Forsyth and defender Shane Duffy.

Midfielder Anis Ben Slimane is also expected to be out for an extended period after sustaining a quad injury.
