West Ham Eye Ambitious Loan Move for Real Madrid Starlet Endrick

West Ham United are reportedly exploring a potential loan deal for Real Madrid’s highly rated young striker Endrick Felipe in the upcoming January transfer window, according to fresh reports from Spain.

The Hammers have struggled at both ends of the pitch this season — conceding a league-high 16 goals while also failing to find consistency in attack. So far, they’ve managed to score more than once in a league match just once this campaign.

Despite investing £27 million in German striker Niclas Füllkrug during the summer of 2024, injuries have hampered his adaptation to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, veteran forward Callum Wilson, who joined on a free transfer from Newcastle United, has yet to feature under new manager Nuno Espírito Santo, with youngster Callum Marshall preferred off the bench in the recent clash against Arsenal.

Hammers in Talks with Real Madrid Over Endrick Loan

Following that match, Nuno commented:
“Now is the time to assess things. We’ve had two difficult away games against strong opposition.

We’re working on the basics — defensive structure and pressing.
There’s been a lot of change and noise around us, but we need to stay focused and make the most of the international break.”

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, West Ham have opened discussions with Real Madrid regarding a possible loan move for Endrick.

The Brazilian forward, signed from Palmeiras in a £30 million deal agreed back in 2022, officially joined Madrid in July 2024.

Endrick Yet to Feature This Season Amid Strong Competition

Since arriving at the Santiago Bernabéu, the 17-year-old has made 37 appearances and scored seven goals. However, he’s yet to make an appearance this season, having recently recovered from a thigh injury.

Despite being named on the bench in Real Madrid’s last four La Liga games, he’s remained unused — sparking speculation over a potential loan move to aid his development.

Other clubs reportedly interested in securing Endrick on loan include Real Sociedad, Valencia, and Marseille.

Ancelotti: Endrick Is “Spectacular”

The Brazilian talent has already drawn high praise from top coaches, including former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti. After a standout performance in a 1-0 win over Real Sociedad in February, Ancelotti said:

“He is spectacular. He’s shown incredible qualities every time he’s had the chance. His accuracy, speed, dribbling, and finishing are outstanding — and he’s still improving with the ball.

He’s very young but learns quickly. He could’ve scored a second that night with a fantastic strike off the post. Just a special talent.”

Elsewhere, reports suggest West Ham missed out on a “flawless” Chelsea transfer target, who starred with a 10/10 display against Liverpool — full story in the opinion section.
