Latest Nottingham Forest update — Owner Evangelos Marinakis weighing up a managerial change as Ange Postecoglou struggles

Talk that Sean Dyche could replace Ange Postecoglou has produced mixed reactions among Nottingham Forest supporters.

Postecoglou, who was appointed just over a month ago after Nuno Espírito Santo’s dismissal, is under pressure following a run of seven games without a win.

Owner Evangelos Marinakis is reportedly considering whether to act again, and former Burnley and Everton manager Sean Dyche has surfaced as a potential successor. Sources say Dyche is the early favourite to take charge if Postecoglou is dismissed.

Dyche has been out of work since leaving Everton in January. He began his playing career in Forest’s youth setup, and long-time Forest favourites Ian Woan and Steve Stone have been part of his coaching teams in the past.

Forest are back in Premier League action next Saturday after the international break, hosting Chelsea (12:30pm kick-off). For now Postecoglou is still expected to lead the side for that match, but Marinakis’ patience appears to be running thin. @Gratollini: Understandable why Marinakis is looking at Dyche — no compensation fee, defensively solid teams and hard to beat, which is what Forest lack right now. His links to Woan and Stone and the club feel might help; Ange seems disconnected from the fans.
