According to Sky Sports journalist Peter Smith, Palace supporters taunted the under-fire Liverpool boss during the game, chanting that he would be “sacked in the morning.”

Salah and Van Dijk must lead the response

No matter what tactical tweaks Slot attempts, nothing seems to be clicking for Liverpool. The team’s confidence looks shattered, and performances continue to fall well below the standards expected at Anfield.

At times like these, senior players must take responsibility. Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk — Liverpool’s most experienced leaders — need to rally the dressing room and restore belief.
