Number of arrests revealed at Celtic vs Rangers match
Police have confirmed the number of arrests made during yesterday’s Celtic vs Rangers semi-final clash at Hampden Park.
Officers revealed that one man was arrested inside the stadium in connection with an alleged drug offence.
Another individual was reported to the procurator fiscal for a pyrotechnic-related offence outside the ground.
The heated Old Firm showdown, which kicked off at 2pm, saw Celtic triumph 3–1 after extra time.
Ahead of the match, ScotRail had issued a travel warning to supporters, announcing the addition of extra carriages to accommodate the surge in passengers.
Fans were advised to use their designated stations, though the operator cautioned that longer queues were still expected due to the large turnout.
