Ipswich Town teenager Jackson Nsofor returns from loan spell at Needham Market
Ipswich Town youngster Jackson Nsofor has rejoined the club after completing his work experience loan at Needham Market.
The 17-year-old forward had been with the Suffolk non-league side since September, featuring regularly in the Southern League Premier Division Central. As a second-year scholar at Town, Nsofor scored two goals in 10 appearances for Tom Rothery’s team, including a goal on his FA Cup debut in the win over Eynesbury Rovers.
He also found the net on his league debut, helping Market to a 4-2 home victory against Stamford. During his spell at Bloomfields, he contributed one assist and created nine goal-scoring opportunities, showcasing his attacking potential.
Now back at Playford Road, Nsofor returns after his first taste of senior football. The winger became a full academy player last summer, having moved to Ipswich from Essex non-league side Buckhurst Hill.
He will rejoin the Town U18 squad under David Wright and Matt Pooley, who currently sit bottom of the U18 Premier League South after the team achieved category one status over the summer.
Ipswich have also been drawn away to Sheffield United in the third round of the FA Youth Cup, with ties needing to be played before Saturday, 13th December. The Blues have a proud history in the competition, lifting the trophy three times — in 1973, 1975, and 2005.
