“BREAKING NEWS”- Daniel Farke dealt Leeds United hammer blow as 49ers decide his future

Leeds United have little time to regroup after their latest setback, with another Premier League fixture scheduled for midweek. On Wednesday, the struggling Whites take on an in-form Chelsea side.

Leeds are currently in a slump, having suffered four consecutive defeats, and pressure continues to grow around manager Daniel Farke.

The German coach has been under scrutiny since last month, with some speculating that he could lose his job at any moment. Their recent loss to Manchester City only intensified concerns, and it has become increasingly unclear where their next points might come from.

Dan James injury adds to Leeds’ troubles

Ahead of the Chelsea clash, Farke delivered further bad news. Winger Dan James is set for a lengthy spell out after suffering a hamstring tendon injury. Speaking at Tuesday’s press conference, Farke said:

“Unfortunately, Daniel James has a hamstring tendon injury. How long he will be out depends on whether surgery is required.
It looks like we can treat it conservatively, but he will probably miss at least eight weeks—potentially longer if surgery becomes necessary.
It’s tough. Everyone knows how much I value Daniel James. He’s a key player for me.

He missed last season and a large portion of pre-season. He worked incredibly hard to return to his best condition, and we were careful with his minutes.

He has been so motivated and disciplined lately. It’s heartbreaking for him to receive this diagnosis. We need him back as soon as possible.”

Right-wing options remain limited

With James sidelined, Leeds are short of reliable options on the right flank. Brenden Aaronson may be brought back into the starting XI despite an earlier spell that drew criticism from supporters. His inclusion on Wednesday is now a strong possibility.

Leeds desperately need points as their fixture schedule tightens, and Farke must find solutions quickly to stop the downward spiral.
