Everton’s issues at right-back have intensified in recent months. Club captain Seamus Coleman remains sidelined with a long-term injury, while Nathan Patterson has endured ongoing fitness setbacks.
Despite the clear need for reinforcements, completing a deal in January is expected to be challenging, as Arsenal are unlikely to sanction the sale of an experienced first-team player midway through the season.
Ben White’s Arsenal journey
White’s time at Arsenal has been mixed since his £50 million move from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2021. The defender has impressed both as a centre-back and a right-back, establishing himself as a reliable and adaptable option for the Gunners.
However, recent fitness concerns and the emergence of Jurrien Timber have limited his role, with White now playing second fiddle at right-back.
During the 2025/26 campaign, White has featured 13 times across all competitions, clocking up 673 minutes and registering one assist.
