£8m player unlikely to play for Everton again as TFG make contract call

Although the Scot still has more than a year left on his current deal—running until July 2027—he is reportedly open to extending his stay. As Moyes edges closer to committing his future to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, it could signal bad news for Adam Aznou’s prospects on Merseyside.

The situation is likely to add to Aznou’s frustration. Since completing an £8m move from Bayern Munich last July, the Moroccan youngster has struggled for opportunities, failing to make a single Premier League appearance under Moyes.

There have already been hints of his dissatisfaction, with the 19-year-old recently removing all references to Everton from his Instagram. That move came even before reports emerged about Moyes’ potential contract extension.

Now, with the manager who has consistently overlooked him set to remain in charge, Aznou could be considering his options ahead of the summer transfer window.
