Spurs head into the match under serious threat of relegation, with their struggles worsening after a 1-0 defeat to Sunderland last weekend. It was far from the start De Zerbi had hoped for, and with only six games remaining, he will be desperate to secure a win against Brighton to spark a late revival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That task, however, looks far from straightforward. Brighton arrive in strong form under Fabian H\u00fcrzeler, having won their last three matches, including a 2-0 victory over Burnley. The visitors will be aiming to continue that momentum as they push for a European spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tottenham suffered a major setback earlier in the week when captain Cristian Romero was ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury sustained against Sunderland. The diagnosis means he will be sidelined for at least six weeks, bringing a premature end to his campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There was some positive news, though, as Rodrigo Bentancur has returned to training after a three-month absence. While Bentancur\u2019s return is a welcome boost, Tottenham will once again be without first-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario. The Italian underwent hernia surgery during the March international break and has yet to regain full fitness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although there were hopes he might return in time for this fixture, Vicario\u2019s absence from training suggests he is not ready. As a result, Antonin Kinsky is expected to continue in goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
