John Wenham believes Spurs could be set for a youth-driven overhaul next season, with Lankshear playing a key role.

Speaking to Tottenham News, he said:
“Will Lankshear has reached double figures for Oxford, and if you’re talking about creating a pathway, scoring 10 goals in a team sitting in the bottom three of the Championship is impressive.

“He always gives you hard work and commitment, constantly battling in 50-50s. He’s a real nuisance for defenders, and now he’s adding goals to his game, which is exactly what his effort deserves.”

“I came across a few comments from West Brom fans on social media. During his first loan spell with them last year, many supporters said they would have happily kept him.

“They appreciated his work rate, and his return of 10 goals in the Championship outscored any of their current forwards.

“He’s another player who could benefit this summer. With Randal Kolo Muani set to return from his loan and Richarlison entering the final year of his contract, I expect both to move on. That could open up space in the squad for Will, which feels like a logical step.”

Why keeping Lankshear makes sense

The young striker has already gained valuable first-team experience during his loan spell and appears ready to step up.

Given his physicality and energy, he could offer more than both Kolo Muani and Richarlison have delivered this season. He also has the advantage of being more durable than Dominic Solanke, making him a reliable option moving forward.
